Bahia Honda Key, Florida // 23 June
Bahia Honda State Park is known for having some of the best (publicly accessible) beaches on the Keys. It’s a State Park so has a modest entry fee which is well worth the beaches and facilities. We checked out the Oceanside beaches but there was lots of sea grass washed up so choose to swim at the sheltered bay on the inland side. It was so calm and the water was so warm, I’d say about 30deg. You could spot fish by the rocks and also in the sea grass spots on the bottom. It also happened to be close to the little shop and cafe which was very handy.
