Brooklyn, New York // 26-30 July
Skyline RV Park was a bit of a gem even though we were a little apprehensive. It was a fantastic location but would mean we’d need to drive the caravan into New York City. It also wasn’t a typical RV park, being more like a carpark, but we decided it was worth the trouble. It was a nerve-wracking drive but we arrived in one piece. It took a while to set up as space was tight and there was the added complication of the competing Drive-in which shared the space. Cars and chairs needed to be moved and after some skillful backing-in we had our spot – right next to Screen 1 of the Drive-in. Front row seats for the Barbie Movie! The view of Manhattan was stunning! The area was very boho, still up-and-coming with warehouses, apartments and trendy boutiques. It felt safe and was a 15min walk to the subway or ferry.
