Our route has been planned a few times! Originally we were starting in January. We tried both clockwise and anticlockwise loops, adjusted again for June start, and made some tweaks to ensure we’ll be in the snow for Christmas.
The ‘final’ route is a result of a lot of research (lists, notes and images saved in Trello) and a lot of smarts from the planning tool we chose, Furkot. We’re hitting our major destinations in the right season and generally out of peak periods. We’ve allowed for flexibility as we’re sure there will be tweaks we’ll want to make along the way. We’ve tried to be generous with timings as we do need to keep up with the kids schooling while we travel.
