Boston, Massachusetts // 1 August
We had just one day to visit Boston and needed to be back in time for the kids’ school so we followed parts of the Freedom Trail, visited the USS Constitution, and Boston Common.
Freedom Trail… We drove into Boston, then caught the metro from our carpark to the end of the Freedom Trail and followed the trail working our way back to downtown. There were streams of people on the trail so it wasn’t hard to follow, and the red bricks on the ground as well.
USS Constitution… Nick-named ‘old Ironsides’ and the US Navy’s oldest commissioned warship. It was really cool the explore!
More Freedom Trail and historic downtown… After the Naval yards we rejoined the trail and headed over the river via the locks. It was a really pretty City with so many historic buildings. We grabbed lunch at Quincy Market, it was hard to choose!
Boston Common… Our last stop before heading back to the carpark and home.
