Moab, Utah // 12-16 October
We stayed at Spanish Trail RV Park on the outskirts of Moab for our visit to Arches National Park. The National Park is right on the edge of town. It was a busy week in Moab as the Moab240 was on, an annual trail ultramarathon (four day) event. The hotels and caravan parks were packed. It was exciting to see the runners, we saw some people running through Canyonlands when we went to The Needles. The runners had started the evening before and run through the night.
Our RV Park wasn’t too busy. It was also half term for some schools. Most people were out exploring during the day and we met some of the other travellers in the hot tub relaxing after a big day. Moab is in a stunning spot with red clifftops either side. As well as the nearby National and State Parks there’s lots of BLM (public) land with ATV and mountain bike trails.
