Groveland, California // 26-29 November
Yosemite Lakes was a huge RV park about 45mins from Yosemite National Park. It was the closet stop we found to stay as the National Park campgrounds had closed for the season as well as many of the private campgrounds. Most of Yosemite Lakes had also closed though luckily the remaining open area got the most of the winter sun. Definitely a strategic move. The small open section was reasonably busy and we even managed a campfire even though the weather was getting quite chilly. No snow on the ground yet though! We had one day in Yosemite National park and stayed here just three nights as the kids were in the thick of school assessments and there was practically no service.
