Steamboat Springs, Colorado // 8, 11, 14, 17, 18 January
Steamboat was definitely one of our favourite resorts, probably due to the amazing snow we had while we were there. We had quite a few fresh powder days and Steamboat has some great fun runs in the powder. Their blues were pretty tame (especially compared to Jackson Hole) and we had lots of time to explore and find our favourite spots. We were also there for the Cowboy Downhill, an annual event. It was a super cold day and the events were pretty chaotic but a good laugh!
Cowboy Downhill… Surprisingly there were very few accidents/injuries, those cowboys and cowgirls are built tough! First there were individual timed races where each person skied or boarded down the course then roped a cowgirl and saddled a horse. Next there was the stampede…whoa…
