Antelope Island State Park is an island in the Great Salt Lake. It’s accessed via a causeway. Amazing views across the salt lake to the mountains. We also got to taste the super salty-ness. The Great Salt lake is nine times saltier than the ocean!
The bison on Antelope Island were introduced in the late 1800s at Garr Ranch to attract tourists. There are actually freshwater springs on the island that support the vegetation and wildlife. There are also bighorn sheep, mule deer and pronghorn antelope on the island.
