Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada // 31 October – 2 November
We didn’t get to stay at any National Park campgrounds on our trip (as they are so popular and booked well ahead) but we were lucky to stay at quite a few State Park campgrounds which were all fantastic. Typically stunning locations, roomy sites and great facilities. Atlatl Rock campground in Valley of Fire State Park was another stunner. A quiet little campground among huge red rock formations in the Nevada desert.
