Planning
We first discussed the idea of this trip in 2019. We set out a timeline for saving and planning, agreeing that we’d aim for 2022, agreeing that should provide enough time to save, plan career breaks from our jobs, and align with the kids being in years 5 and 7 at school. Delays with tourism resuming and applying for visas meant we needed to push our plans to 2023 but we were keen to go as soon as we could. As the kids get older they are increasingly less interested in a family trip!
