After recovering from our huge Disneyland day we did some LA sightseeing. First stop was downtown, for historic buildings and quirky food markets. Next we sought out the Hollywood sights – the sign, elite gated and high-hedged homes, and Mann’s Chinese Theatre. Finally we headed to the iconic Santa Monica Pier.
Downtown…
The Bradbury Building (from Bladerunner, Robin’s all-time favourite movie)…
Angels Flight funicular…
District Market… Lots to choose from here but it was still early so we went with donuts… they were huge and amazing!
Hollywood… Obligatory photo with the Hollywood sign!
Hollywood Boulevard…
Santa Monica Pier…. We arrived in time to dip our toes in the ocean before sunset, then enjoyed the lights.
