South Lake Tahoe is a gorgeous little village on the bank of Lake Tahoe. Each time we drove into town we managed to spot a coyote on the snow-covered fields on the outskirts of town. We checked out some Christmas markets and the restaurants at the bottom of the Heavenly Mountain gondola.
The drive from South Lake Tahoe to Tahoe City is absolutely stunning. A little hairy in the snow/icy conditions but fantastic views of Emerald Bay and across the lake.
