Miami, Florida \/\/ 17-20 June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were now on our route that we had spent so long planning, heading south towards the Florida Keys. We had an overnight stop near Fort Pierce on our way to Miami Everglades RV Resort which was near the east side of the Everglades National Park. We were staying for three nights to explore our first National Parks, Everglades National Park and nearby Biscayne National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami was lush, humid and stormy. We arrived around 3pm, set up and headed to the pool to cool off. We watched the storm clouds approaching while relaxing the pool. I even managed to get our washing done before the storm arrived early that evening. We planned our National Park adventures for mornings so we could be done by mid afternoon in case of storms. Along with the pool, the RV park had resident chickens and fruit trees were planted between the sites, we had healthy looking mango and avocado trees near our site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
